Re: “A Mayoral Donnybrook?

So Steve Mulroy, strongly encouraged by David Upton, thinks he can win the Democratic Primary with a crowded field of African-Americans like Congressman Steve Cohen when he was first elected to Congress? Interesting strategy.

Re: “Sara Lewis Cries "Foul" Over Democrats' Endorsement of Davis

I agree with the Left Wing Cracker that “Cherry should not have allowed this to happen, because it reflects poorly on the SCDP, and could backfire on her.” However, this unethical act alone will not cause her to lose this election. Sara Lewis has won elections citywide several times, despite what the naysayers on here say, she is deeply entrenched in the community and has a great deal of grassroots and elected officials support.

Many of the people who are commenting on this article refuse to deal with the fact that the SCDP endorsed one of their friends and officers of the Party and totally dismissed other Democrats who are in the same race. They Party has a committee that is responsible for interviewing candidates and making a recommendation to the full body for a vote. They totally ignored their own process to help one of their friends at the expense of pissing off a number of other Dems in the community. Then you have a few of them involved in this ploy trying to justify this bad behavior by saying people are only upset because they don’t like Cherry Davis which is small and petty and does not address the backroom, dirty politics that they just participated in. It is these kind of tactics that continue to keep Dems from voting and participating in this Party.
