Re: “Tour de Wolf at Murphy's

Halley--are you even familiar with the musical term ambient music? I hear no form of ambient music/furniture music within this band.

Re: “Tour de Wolf at Murphy's

I actually have to agree with the response above. Tour de Wolf is a unique band in Memphis, but that is not to say that they are original, and for a lack of better words, good. I've had a chance to see Tour de Wolf play a number of times already, and I regret each time honestly. I have talked to many Tour de Wolf supporters, and they say that they are musicians with complex points of views towards the music writing process; however, the mental image that these guys lay upon me when I hear their music is that they are a bunch of musicians that write odd musical structures to songs only because of the fact that they simply have no idea what they are doing in their music. It's a travesty that music has come to someone picking up a guitar, and seeing it as a fashion item, instead of a musical instrument. I was a little skeptical at first, but I told myself that these are "musicians" that need a fair chance to be heard, and I gave them that fair chance; but, they are nothing more than the typical "hipsters" that see music as a trend instead of a form of self expression. Better luck next time guys, if I ever even wanted to hear that noise again.
