Re: “Down by the Riverside

Memphis Art Park--http://www.memphisartpark.org/--is a local riverfront proposal that has been developed in a grassroots fashion by local entrepreneurs, designers, creatives and arts organizations. We're thrilled to announce that Memphis Art Park and its Memphis-based designer Mario Walker have just been honored nationally by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in Washington D.C. Just 33 projects from around the U.S. were chosen for their 2017 Emerging Professionals Exhibit in order to celebrate our nations rising generation of architects. This year's 33 "Citizen Design" projects "tackle equity, access, ecology, and sustainability with contemporary design solutions." According to Kathleen M. ODonnell, Manager at AIAs Center for Emerging Professionals, Memphis Art Park stands out because its a great solution for the riverfront area that focuses on community building and showcases the arts.
