Re: “Forget Nashville

I'll bite on this. Born and raised in Memphis, live in Nashville now.

I've found that the rivarly is generally through the internet. When moving here, I was surprised to find people born and raised Nashville who love Grizzlies games, love raiffords, etc. I more and more think the rivalry is just something that has been created by the internet. By people who can hide behind usernames, who never go out and meet others from the other city.

Both cities are great people.

'Vintage vs. brand new' is a great way to describe it. Where Nashville is booming corporately, with new towers and booming population, Memphis is seeing areas like Overton, South Main, and Broad revitalized. When it comes to personality, substance, culture, and history - Memphis takes the prize. When it comes to business growth and growth towards a power city, Nashville wins. I think both are attractive options. So just let each be their own.
