Re: “Letters to the Editor

I can sympathize with St.Augustine contemplating the questions about killing as he lived through the first horrible sackings of Rome. I can see why and how he came up with his "theologies." But I don't consider him a good enough man to be telling me how to live my life...He was a Churchman who conveniently put aside truth for the posterity of his organization. People don't just wake up one morning and go crazy...they kill for a reason. There is no consideration in his theology of why the "barbarians" attacked Rome...that blindness continues today, as people don't want to look at why "Islamist" attack us. Jesus taught "treat others as you want to be treated".......taa daa...end of problem...

Re: “Bianca Knows Best ... and Helps a Woman Move On

yaa get out of there...but plan it out without him knowing....have all your moves ready... what ,where, when, how..... That way you won't talk yourself out of it...nor be talked out of it. So when the actual move happens...its fast.

There is no love without self-love to have something to give before you can give anything......that goes for both of you...

Re: “Bass Pro Is a Go

TV said he took the time to go meet the parties involved...well that's impressive to me, and I appreciate enthusiasm even if its over the top sometimes. For the sake of Memphis I hope it works. But Memphis is just a very special place, in away that is hard to speak of. And even though I always wish the best for Memphis, still, I just can't get over this feeling in my guts that this is all just a complete limpness of Imagination...and that is the worst kind of limpness...

Re: “Letter from the Editor

I never buy into the national media and statistics...they have their own agenda. I remember in Bosnia, the news was constant horror stories, many made-up. But 20 miles outside town there were huge swap meets going on. Thousands of people of all the warring factions came. Why...because they had to survive, it was these amazing events that really stopped that war. The news didn't cover it once.

There are lots of great things happening in Memphis. Here is a suggestion: The LA Weekly in Los Angeles did a bi-weekly column called "Local Heroes." They searched out people doing innovative things that served the community, people trying to better their city in some way. It was the most popular column, the stories always surprised me.

There are many great things going on in Memphis. We just need to hear about them, and celebrate them...

Re: “Bianca Knows Best ... and Helps Save a Man From Alien Mutants

Ya know...there may be something in this "alien gas" that does not allow people to take seriously this mutant attack. For the sake of Memphis, and a modest fee, I am willing to take LSD and go deep into the city seeking these creatures out...and issue a full report.
