Re: “Beale Street Tonight

Well I happen To Think That NOLA Is The ONLY City Where You will Find Real Blues & Jazz" Music Live, Sure You have kansas City & Chicago(I Performed In Both Cities Before) But Never In NOLA, I Have talked To Many Many Artist On My Radio Show "The Alan James Morning Show" Live On KSJF RADIO And They All say That NOLA Is The best Place On The Planet For Performing Music. So Forgive Me? But I have To Dissagree With The last Commenter On This Article, Its A Good To Comment In A Normal or Positive Manor, But As My Mother used To say" If Ys Ain't Got Nothin" Good To Say About Somebody" Then Don't say Nothin" At All"
Witch In My Openion Is Just What That Last Comment Did" Said Nothin"
To All My Friends & family In NOLA Luv Ya" keep That City Alive" We Trully Need It To Be Here" Alan James-KSJF RADIO (Internet Radio)

Re: “Do You Hear an Ecko?

Well Its Almost A Year To The Date That I Wrote My last Comment On Larry & John At Ecko Records, Since I Own The Kind Of Radio Station That Uses All Of It's resources To Promote "Southern Soul" Party Blues" & Anything That Ecko records Sends Us For Airplay. Every Morning Just Like Today At 6:am I Start Off The "Alan James " Morning Show Live" With Ecko Records Artist, Like Sheeba"Pots-Wright",David brinston, & O.B. Bucanna, And Others, because I Trully Believe That There Is Something Missin" In Todays New Age Of broadcast Radio, Its Called "NO PERSONALITY" And No More REAL DEAL-DJs, I Grew Up Listenning To Real Good radio"back In The Day" Like WOKJ,WBLS,KATZ,WXFM,WLUM,In Other-words "Black Radio Stations" Where The DJs Had Controll Of What Was Being Played & How Often It Got Heard By The Right Listeners, People Used To Live By The Radio Stations, It Was There Morning "Alarm Clock", And It Was The Information center On Where To Drive To Buy Things, And It Seemed To me That The DJs Were The One's Who Made The Artist of The Songs They Played Stars", Well Again That is what Kind Of Radio Station We Are here At (KSJF-NETRADIO) And I Am glad That There Are Still Record Labels Out There Like Ecko, & Malaco, And If I Thought That It Would Help? I Would Start A Movement To re-open "Stax records" But Most Of Those Artist Are No longer With Us Today. I Was talking To Larry The Other Day About "Hep Me Records" & About The "Senator" Jones Passing, It Really Did Shock Me" i Did'nt Know That he had Passed Away & That The Label Had Closed. I Can Still remember The Senator" saying To Me" That I Did Not want Him To Do A Live Interview" because He was The Real Deal" And That He Would tell It Just Like It Really Is For Most Southern Soul Artist" I Laughed" And Said WoW" Is There Something That You're Trying To tell Me" And Then He Laughed" And said No' That's Just It" If I Tell You' On The Radio Live" There Will Be Whole Latta Folks That Ain't Gonna Like It", I Miss The Senator, he Was A Very Positive Man In Producing Artist,Well Larry " if You read This Comment" Just remember That I Am Still Playing The Real Hits From Ecko Records" I Just Had To Let The World Know That" "It Aint A JukeJoint" That Makes A Difference" It's The Singer & Musician In The House " That Makes The Groovin,Movin,Blues, Party Music That Sounds So Sweet And Soulfull" Larry & John-Keep On Keepin on"
We Ain't Done Yet" Alan James-KSJF Radio Salina,Ks USA
