I've been to Grace three times already (!) and I love it. There's always something different to try. I had the duck too my first time- I'll admit it was cooked a bit less than I've ordered it in the past, but I ended up really really liking it. That sums up my dining experience at Grace- I go in thinking I want one thing, and end up ordering something else entirely. It's always just so good. Now I just ask the waiter for his suggestion... Let go and let Grace. Hah!

Re: “Acre

It seems absurd to me that your comments, Jeff, have progressed from you having a (well founded) opinion that $32 is a lot for lunch, to the idea that this and other restaurants are destined to close because they don't listen to the complaints about their prices. It would seem that if you have the freedom to not visit an establishment based on prices, others have equal freedom to do just the opposite.

All that being said, I have eaten at Acre for lunch. My meal was $12 before tax. I don't remember any single item being priced much more than that. The prices of the items above ($12, $8, and $12) seem reasonable to me and each item looks like it would have been a sufficient meal. I know I don't have 3 courses like the reviewer did when I go to lunch.

It just seems hasty to insinuate that a place is overblown in price and trying to "do the public a favor by opening its door" without having even eaten there. No business is doing the public a favor - unless they have not-for-profit status.
