Re: “Five Possible Marc Gasol Contracts

Gasol is a great young center and you have to pay him, but anything over 5 yr/$70MM is very generous. Let's hope we can luck out on this one.

Re: “Grizzlies 99, Magic 94 Post-Game Three-Pointer

The difference is Tyreke would have provided a dynamic scorer off the bench, which Hasheem and Sam Young are not. That ship has sailed though. I just hope we add some bench scoring soon.

Re: “Grizzlies 99, Magic 94 Post-Game Three-Pointer

I was pretty amazed we won the game to be honest. I felt for sure that the Magic would turn it on in the 4th quarter and pull away, but instead they let Vince Carter try to win the game for them and that was a bad call.

Watching Howard in person was a sight to behold. All of the guys out there are grown men, and he just pushes them around. Gasol did an amazing job bodying up with him all night and making nothing easy while also staying out of foul trouble.

The one thing that continues to worry me about this team is complete lack of bench play. We have basically nothing there. Our starters can't continue to play 40+ minutes across the board every night. How nice would it be to have Tyreke Evans coming off the bench? Sigh.

Re: “An Oddly Familiar Ending

Why we chose to take the ball out of the hands of Rudy or OJ at the end makes little sense to me. Good teams let their great players take big shots. We threw a wounded duck of a lob.

Re: “Grizzlies 125, Suns 118 Post-Game Three-Pointer

Nice to see a good crowd there last night. This team is on a roll.

Re: “A Game for Basketball Fans

If the Grizzlies organization was smart (no comment), they would continue to offer $3 upper deck seats for every home game while this team is hot and gaining momentum. That is how you get people in the door and prove to them that you are building something worth spending your time and money on.
