Re: “Co-working Fabrication Shop to Open Soon on Broad

From Gary Bridgman's article "Making It in Memphis" that was in the Flyer in October of last year: "It's a gym for geeks," said Brett Henley of the MidSouth Makers, describing the three-year-old group's community workshop (or "maker space") tucked away in the light-industrial south end of Bartlett's historic district."

While I applaud what Lemmonds is attempting to do, it is unfair and arguably bad reporting, to assert that Forge is the only place in town acting as a co-working space for makers. Aside from the MidSouth Makers, Five In One Social Club on Broad is also very similar to what both the Makers and Forge are doing.

Re: “Kroger's New Bag: "Be More Visible, Be More Accessible"

I live in Cordova. We used to have a Kroger and a Schnucks right across the street from each other. I shopped at Schnucks because it was cheaper, cleaner, had a better selection, and they didn't treat their employees like dirt. Now all I have is Kroger. The employees themselves are fine, but the selection sucks. And the prices are ridiculous. I used to be able to shop for two people for a week and spend less than $100. Now I spend around $175 every week. Also, the bread tends to grow mold within a few days of buying it, and the meat also goes bad quickly!
