Re: “The Pyramid: Too Big to Ignore

The Pyramid Building in Memphis, Tennessee was MY IDEA! It was stolen from me by my Business Speech Class teacher at Memphis (State) University when I attended there back in the mid-sixties. Our project for the class was to pretend that we were giving a business proposal to a group of investors for a unique business concept for downtown Memphis. I INVENTED THE IDEA AND CAME UP WITH THE PYRAMID BUILDING WHICH WAS TO BE A FIRST CLASS RESTAURANT WITH TWO FLOORS, SERVING MIDDLE EASTERN FOODS, FULL BAR AND DANCING, ETC. MY IDEA FORTHE CONCEPT OF THE PYRAMID DESIGN CAME FROM THE FACT THAT MEMPIS, TENNESSEE AND MEMPHIS, EGYPT ARE ON THE SAME PARALLEL LATITUDESON THE GLOBAL MAP!

i believe the professor sold my idea to some business entrepreneurs who took my idea and ran with it! GIVE ME CREDIT!!! Only one thing--they got the pyramid shaped building right, but where is the first class restaurant serving middle eastern foods? I've been in the building for a "rodeo". Are you Memphians ready for a first class Middle Eastern Restaurant--maybe it's conversion time if so?! Oh, an yes, I got an "A" on my speech/proposal!!!

I would love to hear from any of you reading this.

kEEP THE BUILDING THERE AND YES, LIGHT IT UP TO DISPLAY IT'S BEAUTY--WHAT A BEAUTIFUL THING TO SEE AT NIGHT--ESPECIALLY NOW THAT YOU KNOW THE LINK BETWEEN MEMPHIS, EGYPT AND MEMPHIS, TN--BE PROUD OF THAT BUILDING--IT'S MY BABY!
