Re: “Breed Specific

40 years afterwards, i STILL have a scar on my knee that I received from a bite from a Dachshund! Did you know the #1 dog responsible for attacks on people worldwide, and in THIS COUNTRY AS WELL, is the LABRADOR RETRIEVER? Try banning them and see what happens! They have such a gentle, sweet reputation, but in the wrong hands ANY DOG can attack and go bad! It is deed, not breed, and bad ownership! Historically pit bulls were known as the 'nanny dog' and 'America's family dog'. If you had a baby or a small child, you got a pit bull! That was true until about 1970, and if a lot of scum hadn't gotten hold of them (let's face it, they're more plentiful than Dobermanns, Rotties, or any other bully breed, as well as more compact, so why wouldn't scum abuse them?) they wouldn't have this bad reputation now. Many media scare stories about bad pits aren't about pits at all; however, you NEVER see the correction on breeds in the news. I've seen stories where the dog in question was an Airedale, a Lab or Boxer mix (both often confused with pits), or simply a look alike, but nor correction. Ask yourself this question: what do Fred Astaire, Woodrow Wilson, Teddy Roosevelt, Helen Keller, Jon Stewart, Humphrey Bogart and David Spade all have in common? Give up? THEY WERE, OR FOR THE LIVING ONES, ARE PIT BULL OWNERS! There have been pits in the White House! Bet you haters will NEVER even spend the night there.
