Re: “Scientists: Memphis Soon to Become Infinite Vortex of Cupcake Bakeries

Is there already a place called Boss Crumbs? If not I am totally stealing this name.

Re: “Restaurateurs Respond to MBJ's Best Chef in Memphis Bracket: "We feel we will have to respect[fully] decline your offer to participate"

I absolutely LOVE this. Some of the best restaurant recommendations I have ever received have come from other restaurateurs. This attitude is ultimately what keeps me going out to eat.

Well, that and my hatred of doing the dishes. :(

Re: “Ignite the Night

One of the things I love so much about this format is that it *works*. It's quick, simple and, if done correctly, VERY effective. The best part about it is that not many people in the business world use it - YET.

I would encourage ANYONE wanting to hone their public-speaking skills to try to participate in a Ignite event. It doesn't matter what the topic is - urban blight, the history of your favorite rock band or Internet Space Jesuses (Jesi?) - concentrate on the format.

Re: “The Gays Are Coming!

Now Stuart, if you look at the soil around any large U.S. city with a big underground homosexual population - Des Moines, Iowa, perfect example. Look at the soil around Des Moines, Stuart. You can't build on it, you can't grow anything in it. The government says it's due to poor farming. But I know what's really going on, Stuart. I know it's the queers! They're in it with the aliens! They're building landing strips for gay Martians - I swear to God!
