Memphis Mayoral Candidates Morris and Willingham to Debate Tuesday

If they hold a Memphis mayoral debate and Willie Herenton and Carol Chumney don't come, will anybody care?

Our guess would be no, but candidates Herman Morris Jr. and John Willingham will debate Tuesday at the East Shelby Republican Club meeting at 7 p.m. at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike near Germantown High School.

The debate will focus on MLGW, crime, and other issues.

Morris and Willingham have filed their nomination papers for the October 4th election along with Chumney and Herenton. Willingham ran unsuccessfully against Herenton in 2003.
