Re: “It's Time for Ostrander Nominees, 2018!

LeftWingCracker, I've lobbied to correct the awards' terminology in the past, but to no avail. I understand the origination of the words "musical" and "drama", but "drama" should really be changed to "play".

Re: “Memphis Actor/Educator Greg Krosnes Dies

You nailed it, CD.

Also, I love you. I think you already know that, but I want to make sure you do. I love you. Always have, always will.

Re: “Richard Ransom Back on the Air at Channel 24

Ransom too often allows his own beliefs and priorities seep into his stories to be called a reporter or to be an effective interviewer.

What we need is unbiased reporting, not to be led to water by an anchor with an agenda. If Ransom or any other newsperson wants to be a journalist, fine. Be a journalist. But I don't appreciate being constantly, surreptitiously manipulated by local anchors.

Re: “2017 Ostranders — Picks, Pans and WHO GOT ROBBED!?!?

"You wanna know my secret? I'm a liar. A flat out liar." - Mercy "Haint" (via me, via playwright Justin Asher)

Kudos to all the nominees, and huge props to everyone in the Memphis theatre community not nominated - in print. Not nominated in print. Without you, the nominees would not be nominees. This stuff is a team sport, and guess what: There really is no such thing as a small part.

Re: “Holding on Tight

Quindarious McGhay would be 13 years old today if Bill Giannini hadn't killed him. He'd be starting his last year of middle school next week. But Quindarious was killed by Bill Giannini two weeks before his 9th birthday - and three days before Santa was going to come.

Good ol' boy Bill is not only 5 years old, but he's enjoying his cushy job as a lobbyist and is hoping to run the gubernatorial campaign of a good ol' boy Republican buddy.

And Amy Weirich still has Quindarious' blood on her hands.

To my knowledge, Giannini has still never spoken to Quindarious' family, and has never issued an apology of any kind. He certainly hadn't when this article was published.
