Monday Is Last Day for Voter Registration

With Monday’s final day for voter registration fast approaching, several campaigns and both parties used the weekend for last-minute voter registration drives. Here Democrat Sidney Chism, flanked by local Obama-Biden campaign director Nika Jackson (left) and Get-Out-the-Vote organizer Brett Thompson (right), exhorts party cadres to make one last effort in the Whitehaven/South Memphis area.

Registration concludes on Monday at the Election Commission at 2nd and Poplar downtown. All completed forms, from whatever source, must be in by 4:30 p.m Monday.
