To's impossible to blamed for a cash shortage if you did not log on the to register! So either, A)You were logged on to the register, or, B)you made this up, or, C)Someone there is trying to find out if you're smart enough to know you can't be blamed if you weren't logged on! If you called human resourses on half the stuff you claim...heads would be rolling!

As an employee of Auto Zone for 18 years, I have something to say about these negative comments. The Auto Zone I have worked for bends over backward to be the point of letting people get away with things they shouldn't. This of course make the jobs of others alot tougher..and that would be my only complaint. As difficult as the customers can be, I have found in my 18 years on the job the the employees themselves are the people who can make the job miserable. I always thought men would be easier to work with...well let me tell you...I have worked with LAZY, WHINEY, abnoxius men who think the employer owes them what ever they want. The point system that one person here whined about needing time off and already had 9 points....well if he had 9 points he was a lousy employee and deserved to be let go. Using a sick fiance as his excuse for the previous 9 points is pretty pathetic. Just the type of person I'm talking about. I have found more people than not will steal, a revelation I was not happy to discover. In the 18 years I have worked for AZ I have seen countless people fired for theft...and theft they admitted to when confonted, and in some cases entered a "re-payment program" with the court system. These people do not tell their friends and family they were fired for stealing...they tell them hideious stories about how they were mistreated, discriminated against, harrassed, and "force" out. Only those in management in the store know the truth and of course the truth can't be told. These people think they are owed and will defend what they do! They will give buddies a discount to "help them out"....and as I have told them..."if you want to help a buddy out, reach into your own pocket, not someone else's...because if it's someone else's pocket its stealing!" Until they get fired they don't get it. They call off work as though it's a "right"... or show up 20 minutes late because they were up late the night before...then complain about the point system. They stand around on truck day waiting for someone else to do the work...then wonder why their hours get cut. They hide back the isles or in the restroom and text on thier phones while customers are waiting in line. They head out to the parking lot to "help" a customer who happens to be a friend and then stay out side for a half an hour smoking and hanging out with their friends. Believe me in 18 years I've seen it all. No one gets fired from Auto Zone unless they have it coming...and that does not happen often enough in my book. I have been grateful for the way I've been treated by this company and for the good wages I've made. But I've been hard working, dedicated, loyal, and treat the company's money interests as if they were my own. So I've earned it. And that's what you have to do when you work...earn the respect and the money you're paid. Then you don't have all these problems that you've created for yourself. By the way, I work in an Ohio store, and I've worked for 3 different districts, no difference from one to the next!
