Re: “Overton Gateway Approved by City Landmarks Commission

A better use of this land would be to make it a pedestrian park - no parking lot - with benches, water fountains and low maintenance but beautiful landscaping. Or a community garden. That seems like a better gateway to the park than a bunch of apartments/townhouses that will just add to the already existing congestion.

Re: “Overton Park Plan Draws Ire, Confusion

Charles Chooch Pickard submitted an excellent parking plan that left the greensward as it is. There was no valid reason given for the PTB to reject it.

Re: “El Pendejo

CL, you give Allen too much credit. I believe he copied and posted from Trump/White House website.

Re: “El Pendejo

Allen Russell, no one is going to argue that the Democrat party has a problem, but so does the Republican party. BTW, what has Trump accomplished for you since his election? After all, as you stated, the Republican party is in control of everything. Where's that check from Mexico for building the wall? Where's the new healthcare bill? Where are the jobs he promised? But all is not in vain. After all, he has raised Twitter's profile all by himself.

Re: “Q&A: Council Chairman Talks Lunch, Travel, and Investing in Memphis

There is still no reason why council members and county commissioners shouldn't pay for their own lunch or bring it. No one is saying they can't eat, but tax payers should not be providing their lunches or breakfasts.
