Re: “Nathan Bedford Forrest Statue and Remains to Stay in the Health Sciences Park

@oak, you confuse my poke with being a remark against Christians. It is not. I am one (or at least believe so). It is a poke against that believe those things then otherwise running about saying they're Christian. If B implies A, does not mean then A implies B

Oh and I stand corrected on the decades. I realized afterward I was being generous and that it would even been better to say, but could not edit and correct. An unfortunate part of the digital tools on the flyer site.

Re: “Nathan Bedford Forrest Statue and Remains to Stay in the Health Sciences Park

Nathan Bedford Forrest played a key role in helping the KKK via his leadership and offering it legitimacy via his participation after the war. The consequences of it and like actions being a century of Jim Crow, lynchings, murders and racial hatred. Consequences which were only turned due to the points of gun barrels and thoughtful legislation enacted by those in this country not from here.

Perhaps a giant wall with three foot letters so it may be easily seen from the street is called for so we can make sure people truly know that which stands there.

"Behind this wall stands a monument to racial hatred and bigotry. Put in place by the apologist white descendents of a bloody war fought to enslave men and rip this American union apart. Kept in place decades later by white bigots because they can't read about history in a book. Rather, they must keep hated monuments in place in a city where they are not wanted, demonstrating their commitment to equality to Christianity and to Christ"

I think that there pretty accurately un-revises this sick twist of history right Oak?

Re: “SCOTUS Death Roulette

If Republicans were so concerned about the Constitution, they'd actually do their job. They apparently are confused about their role when it comes to SCOTUS.

"He (the President) shall have the Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments."
