Re: “What They Said (November 6, 2014) …

I believe the pizza restaurant closed because there were kids inside who were misbehaving. It had to close because there were kids inside that caused the manager to make that decision.

You can say perhaps this or that, but these kids were arrested. Perhaps there was evidence that they were ones that were part of the violence. Perhaps there were more kids that should have been arrested.

This was an attack that could have lead to the deaths of three people. An innocent victim and two Kroger employees, young people themselves, who all could have died.

Justice needs to be served. And incidents like this cannot be allowed to happen if we want Memphis to have a good future. The Mall of Memphis, as many people remember, was thriving and prospering. I loved going to that Mall. But then the murder on the parking lot and other incidents and the Mall died.

Memphis needs to make certain that no other incidents of mob violence occur. Incidents like this could make people leave Memphis and cause people not to want to come here. Memphis could have a very bleak future if steps are not take to ensure incidents like this don't happen again.

If it takes making parents responsible, so be it.
