Re: “Product Test: Papa Murphy's

Sauce quality is on par with Pizza Hut (which isn't saying much)

Price is not comparable to better known pizza chains. You can currently get a $10 large from Papa John's with unlimited toppings, whereas I paid $12 for a large from PM with three toppings and had to cook it myself. You could also get more for your money from Lucchesi's, who offers 7 large pizzas with at least 3 toppings for 12 bucks. And anyone who knows Italian food knows that Lucchesi's offers a darn good product.

I bought a hand-tossed pizza and the crust was decent. The outter crust was superior to the underside, but overall decent nonetheless.

I ordered a pepperoni, beef, and pineapple pizza. Although the pineapple was no where near fresh, PM did supply a good amount of all toppings (cheese included).

Overall, I would give it a 3.5/10. Considering you do not get a price break for cooking it yourself, the sauce is overly salty and dry, and a local business (Lucchesi's) offers an overall superior product, I will not be going back to Papa Murphy's.
