Re: “20<30

Really? Tough talk from someone who's afraid to reveal a real name. To insinuate nepotism here is an act of cowardice on your part. Yeah, he went to school. Yeah, he has talent. His father had NOTHING to do with his "employment" at Radio Memphis. My "celebrity" status aside, he earned these accolades. What have you done? You sound bitter and I smell your fear from where I sit. I challenge you to call in 901-922-5407 and argue your points on the air, like a grown man instead of some anonymous keyboard cowboy.

Re: “20<30

Since you thought it appropriate to mention my name in all of this, the least I could do is honor you with a response. For you to insinuate that Justin got his position on Radio Memphis through his name is not accurate at all. Justin earned his position at Radio Memphis through his talents and abilities. Calling him a "professional coattail rider" seems a bit extreme. No one rides on anyone's coat tails around here. You sound petty.

Your description of Radio Memphis is certainly your own and I respect that. We aren't out to impress everyone. However, we always knew there would be at least one out there who doesn't like what we do and we are glad you (sort of) identified yourself.

Regarding the musicians, I must say you have not done your homework. You are correct in that Radio Memphis does not nor will ever pay performance royalties. It is a busted system that takes money from broadcasters and lines the pockets of the collection groups without paying the bands fairly.

The goal of Radio Memphis is simply putting the music back into the hands of the listeners, if they don't like the way we do business, they are free to not send in their material. It's just that simple. Ask any musician out there and they will all tell you the same thing, expecting to get rich through radio play is a pipe dream, sell tickets to shows and sell copies of your tunes to get paid. Keep the corporate monkeys out of the business.

How Justin got through life before Radio Memphis is something that would be best told by him.

Thanks for the spotlight,
