Re: “Zoo Won't Use Full Greensward This Weekend

Hey Brian O. Campbell...I am one of those "agitators" as you refer to the people who are attempting to save the park. The Greensward has been the central feature in Overton Park since its creation in 1901. The open space is important to people who live in the city because it offers a place to spread out, picnic, play sports, etc. Parking on the Greensward destroys all this. BTW. parking is just the beginning. The zoo will eventually fence it in and use it for others things if allowed to.

As a citizen who enjoys the park and the Greensward, I hereby grant permission to the zoo to open its exhibits and use its paved parking areas this weekend. Pretty beneficent of me, isn't it?

Re: “Three People Beaten by Mob of Teens in Kroger Parking Lot

The reporting would be totally different if it was a mob of white kids beating on black folks.
