Re: “"West Memphis Three" Hearing Delayed

I saw the HBO documentary last night on the Belgian channel and was triggered by it. Therefor I surfed the internet about the case ans was even more amazed by the amateuristic attitude by the police, judge and district attorney office. It once more proves that the American justice system - especially in small town America-areas, as the West Memphis area probably is - is, at least, weak. A few questions: How can a bunch of people (the jury) be able to speak out verdict on a complex murder case, without having any law school background whatsoever?; How is it possible that the police got away with evidence that 'accidently' got lost? How can a judge sustain certain evidence and deny other material, everything in line with the prosecutors? How can it be that Mark Byers is not interrogated properly, after he gave the knife to the HBO-crew? I can go on and on with questions like these...

I feel very sorry for the parents and rest of the family of the killed boys. But in this case, three more boys were taken their lives by a corrupt system. I read that Mark Byers now want the West Memphis Three free, as he declared in 2007.. just after another alleged suspect (Hobbs) turned up: a coincidence? He must be joking...
