Joe Werner signs The Tinsmith's Son, his memoir about growing up in Memphis from the 1930s on and the tough characters he met in and out of his father's sheet-metal shop. Werner is donating 20 percent of book sales to the Literacy Council.

Annual performance of the New Ballet Ensemble's Nut Re-Mix, a reimagining of The Nutcracker set on Beale Street.

A Christmas concert featuring the Lindenwood Chancel Choir and Orchestra and the Gary Beard Choral performing selections from the Messiah and Robert Shaw's Many Moods of Christmas.

Concert presented by the World Class Jazz Series and the Jazz Foundation of Memphis with trumpet player Rod McGaha, pianist and composer Donald Brown, and drummer Renardo Ward.

Kallen Esperian performs in the Opera Memphis presentation of Amahl and the Night Visitors, which follows the story of a crippled child with a habit of stretching the truth who is visited by three kings on their way to meet a special child.
