THANK GOD

THANK GOD

Normally this wouldn t be news but given the circumstances: Various media outlets have report ed that MLGW predicted expen sive heating bills for Memphians this winter due to rising energy prices and tight fuel supplies nationwide. But (miracle of miracles) that bitter cup has passed us by. While much of the country is experiencing severe winter storms and bitter cold, Memphis has continued to enjoy lovely spring-like weather. Could it be that a certain mayor really does have friends in high places? Sadly, God was busy watching sparrows and unavailable for comment ?
