Tigers Land Hot QB Prospect

From the Baltimore Sun: Quarterback Tyler Bass has enrolled at the University of Memphis after originally signing with Maryland.

The school announced Tuesday that Bass will be eligible for the 2008 season.

After signing with Maryland in February, he requested and was granted a release by the school.

Memphis said in a news release that Bass will begin practice with the Tigers Aug. 4.

Bass played at Stockbridge High School in Atlanta where he was a two-year starter at quarterback, throwing for more than 2,400 yards and 28 touchdowns. As a senior, he rushed for 606 yards and 11 TDs.
