Tom Walter 

We note with sadness the passing of longtime Commercial Appeal television writer and critic Tom Walter, who lost his three-year battle with cancer this week. Walter was a gentleman and a professional and a journalist of high order. In his final years, Walter became an inspiration to many for his courage and fortitude in facing his debilitating illness. He was a good man, and we'll miss him.
