Re: “Judge Gives Aretha Franklin House One More Month

Aretha Franklin's net worth is 60 million and she own several homes. It would be gum money to her to fund this project and see it completed.

Re: “Memphis Zoo's Tiger Says He Isn't Sorry

Zoo breeding programs produce the many baby animals that attract the public, but this leads to surplus animals. Contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of zoo breeding programs do not release individuals back into the wild. Instead, the individuals are destined to live their lives in captivity. Some are even sold to circuses, to canned hunting facilities, or for slaughter.

Re: “Zoo Blues

Need more parking place. Close down the elephant exhibit and pave it. Since 1991, more than a dozen zoos in the U.S. have closed their elephant exhibits or announced that they intend to phase them out, citing an inability to provide the animals with proper care. This progressive trend must continue. Zoos need to abandon failed breeding programs and stop pretending that elephants can thrive in captivity. Elephants should be retired to reputable, accredited sanctuaries such as The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.
