Re: “Transformers Take Two

Chris, I have a question for you. Do you really know what the general public likes to view in the theartre? Sounds as if you have a different 'drum to beat' rather than just reviewing the movies. You sound like a person with a 'left wing' political agenda.

Your reveiw of the new "Tranformer" film was wrought with self identifying political views. Are you gay, black or hypersensitive or just all of the all of the above? We(I) don't care! Go beat that figurative drum in red-neck towns where they need to hear it, and it may actually do some good. Really, we (I) really don't care to hear it. That's certainly what I could read though.

I'm not a writer or a critic, but does the fact that the movie is a global number one film maybe emphasise what I'm trying to say?

So what, if it doesn't suit your political agenda! "911", "Bowling for Columbine", "X", "Fried Green Tomatoes", "Cider House Rules" have been done! Just say you didn't like it, what crowds would like it, why they might like it, and move on!

Presidental and racial digs(not just 'black' population, because I know how ignorant and uneducated most people are around here when you say racial)make for good humor with mainstream America. If that offends you, then talk to Eddie Muphy or Richard Prior who make/made millions doing it. Every other comidian does it, regardless of their demographics. Pioty and being overly sensitive about such issues should be things of the past, this is a new age. That line of thinking has weakened this nation and has cause people to walk around with chips on their shoulders! Qualifying people regardless of race is what America is about! My people have moved on and are doing just fine, we are the only natives of this country, and were truly wronged. Don't hear us screaming "bigotry", "you a racist". Most of us don't give a crap about such trivial things. Screaming of such so called social atrocities and Corporate America's plugs for a toy company are for the angry, ignorant, uneducated, unemployed, check drawing, minorities that want some thing else for free or need an excuse for their actions or lack there of. Oops maybe thats the audience you're appealing to. Perhaps so they can feel better about not being able to afford a $10 ticket at the box office?

MOVE ON! Keep your politics antics to the political sections or some racist group, or better yet go to work for the 'Christian Appeal'!

I liked the film. It certainly didn't have a whole lot of depth, but it was action packed and was sprinkled with a little 'taboo' humor but that's why it got it's rating. Length wise, yeah, it was long but I saw how long it was going to be before I went and was engrossed the whole time. Do you know how much was put into this film? The statistics on this film were 'insane'!This was a film for the masses, no doubt.
