Re: “EDITORIAL: Bill Morrison and Public Financing

You go, granny! I've sent money to Bill, too, and I think he has the best chance of winning any Democrat has had in many years. But why, why, do regular middle class people continue to vote for the Marsha Blackburns over and over? Are they so easily spooked by the Republican scare tactics?

Re: “EDITORIAL: Bill Morrison and Public Financing

" Before its members settle down to the same-old same-old routine, we wish they’d give this perfectly sensible idea[campaign finance reform] a fair shake." Gee, Flyer, with tough, hard-nosed fightin'words like those, how could Congress do anything but follow your gentle request to address the most corrupting element of our completely corrupted campaign system? I'm sure they'll get right on it! Meanwhile, Ms Blackburn will sit on her $1 million campaign fund, donated by all the corporations and wealthy people she actually represents (middle class need not apply) and run absolutely NO campaign at all, refusing a debate with Morrison and denying her constituents a fair face to face comparison. That shows her deep dedication to the democratic process! BTW, has anyone in West TN actually SEEN Blackburn over the last two years? I heard she was around just before the last election but hasn't dropped by since. Probably takes West TN's votes for granted, so no reason to leave her million dollar home in Williamson County just to visit.
