...I subscribe to the one where " Generation X " starts in 1958 (which is what Bruce Coupland , who coined the phrase's use in that context , thought) - " Baby Boomer " used to really mean " 1946-50 " , really , it was a later-years thing to stretch it to 1964 - Okay , I am a late-end Boomer and Early X-ers (which has sometimes been called " Generation Jones " , though that never really stuck ~ A my-age frien of mne likes it , though , hi , Bruce ! , I was born in 1960 , my brother in 1962 - and I remember , sometime the early 80s-ish , commenting about my and my brother being " Baby Boomers " and my parent/s(WWII/Depression-era..." Greatest Generation " , okay , okay .) laughing !
BTW look up " Generation X " and " United Kingdom " and " Guardian " and you'll find out the very first useage of this phrase !(No ~ not Bill Idol...) I am at wlllljoyyy@yahoo.com , if you wanna .
