Save Libertyland!

Murphy's, 9:30 p.m., $5

Full disclosure: Denise Parkinson used to work at the Flyer as a copy editor, and if she approaches Save Libertyland! with anywhere near the vigor she did copyediting, then don't expect her to back down quietly. Parkinson has already made noise in the local media with this protest to save the Libertyland theme park, and tonight, she'll be making a different kind of noise at the first of a series of events to raise money and awareness about the cause. Her band, the Revolutionaires, will open for the Zippin Pippins, and local filmmaker John Michael McCarthy will be filming Libertyland testimonials for a documentary about the protest.
