Re: “Criminal Intent

I am an 18 year old female who is planning on becomming a psychiatrist within the next year or so. I make good grade, I don't engage my actions with drugs, or murder but I have become amuned to Three Six Mafia. I am absolutely obsessed and inlove with them and their lyrics do not relate to my life by any means... but that doesn't mean I won't listen to them. I am complete opposite of what they have to express but I still can't get enough of them.

Just because they express brutal, horror like lyrics doesn't mean they act upon their words. We all say things we don't mean so does that make it right to critize what they rap about? No. Their is such thing as fiction music just as their is a fiction book.

Three six mafia, for me anyways, makes me not give a shit about anything, or more of caring less of things that would normally upset me. It helps me relieve stress and relax and just say it won't matter in ten years.. Even though I don't relate to their lyrics by any means. My opinion would be it being about the money. No body wants to listen to positive music these days anymore, I know I sure don't. I just like "fuck the world" type music even though my behavior is not compatible to that at all. Everyone wants to seem "badass" nowadays. It is a bit mainstream but that is life. Just because you rap about something or listen to something means you relate to it.

We are all entitled to our own opinion, choices, and expression. Who are you to judge what they like to rap about? You may not like them and that is fine but don't critize their opinions, and expression.
