Happy New Year! We’re here helping you get your new you into the new year with the first Music Video Monday of 2026. And what better way to get the blood flowing than GloRilla telling you you’re “Special”?
Well, actually, Glo is talking about herself. And there’s no doubt she is special, because she’s been nominated for three Grammys this year. Her GLOURIOUS record is nominated for Best Rap Album, and she’s got two Best Rap Song nominations, one for her single “TGIF” and the other for a guest shot with Tyler, The Creator on “Sticky.”
But she’s not resting on her laurels. In “Special”, Glo is in training for the Olympics. It’s part one of a two-part collaboration with filmmaker Troy Roscoe. In “March”, Big Glo is trying out for drum major, in tribute to the long and glorious tradition of HBCU marching bands. In “Special”, she’s training for the long jump. Roscoe uses some Hong Kong-style wire work to help his star float through the air. Maybe it will help you get moving on this first day back in the office.
