That’s why we’re giving you the opportunity to VOTE
on your favorite local craft beers as they battle for bragging rights in the Memphis Flyer Beer Bracket Challenge!
It started when the Memphis Flyer’s Toby Sells picked the match-ups for the bracket live on Facebook from B-Side. We’ve seeded beers from Ghost River, Wiseacre, High Cotton, Crosstown, Meddlesome, Memphis Made, Hampline, Beale St. Brewing, Soul and Spirits, Memphis Filling Station, Hook Point, Cooper House, Urban Consequence, Boscos, Mississippi Ale House and Grind City.
We have made some changes this year.
- Any business that brews a beer is eligible.
- We have taken away the style categories. Dark, light, IPA, seasonal call all go up against anyone in any round.
- Two beers from each company.
But the foundation remains the same:
- NCAA style bracket
- Single elimination
- Two beers from each company
- Blind Seeding
- Readers’ choice
- Winner take all
Next, we’re opening the voting up to you. Pick your favorite beers April 15-30 and one beer will emerge as the voters’ favorite beer in Memphis!
Anyone who votes is registered to win a City Brew Tours “Sip of Memphis for two. A VIP behind the scenes tour of 3 local breweries fill of entertaining beer history, facts, fresh baked local food and of course lots of great samples. Dad jokes included at no charge!
First round voting opens Monday April 15.
2nd round: 4/18-4/21
3rd round: 4/22-4/24
4th round: 4/25-4/27
Championship round: 4/28-4/30
