Mid-South Pride will celebrate the 50th Memphis Pride Fest on Sunday, September 14, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Overton Park Shell and Formal Gardens.
The festival was originally scheduled for June, but was cancelled due to weather conditions. Originally scheduled for Downtown Memphis, organizers said the new location is โrooted in community spirit and surrounded by the heart of Memphis.โ
โMemphis Pride Fest has always been more than a stage or a parade,โ Mid-South Pride organizers said. โItโs a tradition shaped by decades of advocacy, artistry, and shared presence.โ
The festival will include an all-local entertainment lineup, vendor marketplace, and drag performances. Vanessa Rodley, president of Mid-South Pride, said this yearโs lineup reflects the cityโs rich talent and the festival serves as a chance to highlight the performers โboldly and without compromise.โ
โThis moment matters โ not just because itโs our 50th, but because of everything it took to get here,โ Rodley said. โWeโre meeting that history with joy, with momentum, and with a lineup that reflects the full range of our community.โ
The festival is open to everyone. Attendees are asked to not block driveways, streets, or park illegally in residential areas. Parking is also limited, and ridesharing, biking, and public transportation is strongly encouraged.
