Confused by all this talk about intelligent design? Micro- versus macroevolution? Memphian Jim Derych in Confessions of a Former Dittohead (due in mid-April) says itย’s all a matter of time. ย“Microevolution is observable and scientifically provable,ย” Derych writes. ย“[And] since [the proponents of intelligent design] canย’t prove that microevolution doesnย’t exist (because thereย’s proof to the contrary), followers of ID instead draw the line at macroevolution.ย”

Derych clarifies: ย“[Macroevolution] is basically the idea that Mondayย’s pond scum is Tuesdayย’s Tom DeLay.”
