Soul & Spirits Brewery acquired the Memphis Made Brewing Co. trademark last week and promises to keep the now-closed breweryโs beers in stores and on tap.
Memphis Made closed its Edge taproom in March after declaring bankruptcy in August 2025.

Soul & Spirits bought rights to the Memphis Made brand name “with the intention of continuing the legacy of the Memphis Made brand here in their home city.”
“Memphis Made was one of the original craft breweries here in Memphis, and it was a devastating hit to the craft beer scene to see their closureโ says Soul & Spirits CEO and co-owner Blair Perry. โWe wanted to make sure that the brand lives on and stays here in Memphis and we knew that we had the production capacity to fulfill those needs.โ
Soul & Spirits said its top priority will be to make sure customers can still find their favorite Memphis Made beers at local bars, restaurants, and liquor stores. The Soul & Spirits taproom will soon have Memphis Made beers available on draft and to-go.
“We started Memphis Made as a way to give back to our city, and we really put everything we had into it,โ Memphis Made co-founder Andy Ashby said in a statement. โBlair and [Soul & Spirits co-founder and head brewer Ryan Allen] brew good beer, and Iโm looking forward to seeing where they take the brand.”

Memphis Made was founded by Ashby and Drew Barton in 2013 with its original taproom in Cooper-Young. The brewery made three year-round brews and seasonal offerings, with Fireside Amber being a local fan favorite.
In 2024, Memphis Made was the fourth largest producing brewery in Memphis.
Ashby and Barton named the company “Memphis Made” in a “nod to give back to the city that had given them so much and be a representation of how awesome this city can be.”
