It was easy being green at the Memphis Irish Society/Cooper-Young St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Of course, the day was March 17th, the day of the wearin’ of the green.

People in green sunglasses, green-striped socks, green shirts, and at least one person with green hair were on hand for the festivities inside Celtic Crossing and on the street to watch the parade.

It was presented by the Memphis Irish Society and Celtic Crossing, says Tamara Cook, executive director of the Cooper-Young Business Association.
