Every month Stax Museum hosts a FREE family event from 1 to 4 p.m. that includes full access to the museum and additional crafts, games, and even food trucks. The American Red Cross will also be in attendance to offer CPR demonstrations and a session covering all things safety from first aid kits to fire escape plans for the home. This will begin at 1:15 p.m. and they encourage families to RSVP on the Stax website.

This event is perfect for the green thumbs of the community. With spring in full swing, it’s time to plant the flowers and vegetable gardens. Lichterman Nature Center is providing over 200 beautiful species of native plants (which are notoriously low maintenance)! From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., go make your home a little greener. Sweet Eye is celebrating their 1st anniversary in style with eight vendors. This is a family-friendly event full of fun activities, raffles, and even free drip coffee. 901 Bakes, Henna by Zaynab, and Thistle and Bee are among the selection of businesses present. Sweet Eye Coffee also just launched their spring menu. The Flan Latte and Banana Cream Matcha are for sure on my radar. Stop by from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to support this beloved Cordova coffee shop.
