The last time rock duo the White Stripes played Memphis was September 10th, 2001, when they played to an overflow crowd at South Main bar Ernestine & Hazelย’s ย— thatย’s right, Ernestine & Hazelย’s. In the interim, frontman Jack White has spent time in Memphis studios doing mixing work on albums from Loretta Lynn (which he produced) and his side-project band the Raconteurs. On Tuesday, July 31st, the Stripes finally make their live return to the Memphis area with a show at the Snowden Grove Amphitheater in Southaven, Mississippi. Tickets for the concert went on sale this morning at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster
