What are the attributes of you god? If any of those attributes contradict one or more of the others which one(s) will you abandond if any?
Jeff, thats "Authentic Frontier Gibberish"...revren!
Well said beeswax!
Charles, I have often wondered why you quote scripture(s) to make a point or support your position. Why would you quote from a book that promotes hate and violence? For instance, in Matthew 10:34 Jesus is found saying "Do not think that I came to bring peace. I did not come to bring peace but a sword." How can you expect anyone to take you seriously or for anyone to expect to have a reasoned mature discussion?
Either you willfully ignore reasoned arguments or you have a head injury. Your argument of "potential" gets you nowhere. Each time you scratch your nose you commit a holocaust of "potential" humans. That is how your argument was shot down in the past. I see you have now added "and life is under way" to your original argument of "potential" in an attempt to make it stronger. This "and life is under way" will also not get you far. Ever heard of spontaneous abortions? That still keeps the Christian God (however you define him) on the hook.
Indocrination is child abuse. However, if you don't want to seem like a combative heathen, encourage your child (and boyfriend) to expose themselves (no Catholic pun intended) to as many world religions as possible as well as Greek hero myths. That will take care of it. As for the "moral" aspect of it, ask your boyfreind to explain to you what Jesus meant when he said "Do not think I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.” Mat.10:34. And Luke 19:27 where Jesus tells us “But bring here those enemies of mine that do not want me to rule over them and slay them before me.”
