Ms. Chimmney ( a bunch of smoke) is egregious. Maybe if she had a platform of her own, she wouldn't worry so much about attacking Mayor Wharton all of the time.
If she would cease her hateful attacks and focus on moving us forward she may pick up an extra supporter who could relieve her of her double duties of being the mayoral candidate and the treasurer. Maybe that's a strong indication of her lack of support.
Note to Carol.... get your signs ready for the county mayor's race in 2010... stop wasting everyone's time with your childish antics.
Mayor Wharton never singled out any one candidate as a reason to not participate in the debate. Ms. Halbert has spoken in error by assuming Mayor Wharton was only talking about Prince Mongo. For any sane person, it was clear that he wasn't the only candidate up there that shouldn't be taken serious. Several people have run in presedintial elections but not all candidates are considered to debate. MEMPHIS wake up. This is a critical moment in time and everyone should approach this special election as such.
Regardless of if you are white, black, brown or yellow; live in Boxtown, downtown, orange mound, east memphis or whitehaven; lower-class, middle class, or upper class... Mayor Wharton is the best candidate for City Mayor.
At this point in time, it would be against the best interest of the city of Memphis for anyone else outside of Shelby County Mayor A C Wharton to lead our great city.
Vote early, A C Wharton for Memphis Mayor
