I would like to comment on the RBI season's playoffs being canceled last summer. The decision to cancel the playoffs were made because the transportation company, First Student, had not been paid by the Redbirds for several weeks and as a result, the buses were not allowed to pick up the RBI participants. To say that the decision was a "bad decision" is not a fair statement. The decision to cancel the playoffs were unavoidable and certainly regrettable. Had the Redbirds made payments or been in reasonable contact with the bus company maybe the decision to cancel could have been avoided. It is not fair to those who were involved in that decision making process to say that it was a bad decision. There were no other options for the decision makers in the process.
