Pardon me, but I don’t understand the RDC’s plans for a “park” next to their $35 million landing at the foot of Beale Street. As I was driving by their project this morning, my lying eyes told me that they are in the process of converting the northern end of Tom Lee Park into a paved parking lot, not a park. Does anyone know what’s going on? Does anyone care? Are our elected leaders asleep at the wheel?
