He mentioned more issues (not just race) in this campaign than Wilkins.
I don't understand why the Wilkins campaign can't try to win this election by playing within the rules. If he's a honest man then he will denounce this type of trickery and have the signs taken down.
Amateur hour. Where is the clown car? I can't believe this campaign gets this much press.
It's a vocal minority of 20-25 percent. The old guard that still believe that a white person shouldn't hold the seat and the young, black professional class that believe they should have power.
The people supporting Wilkins that are mad about "local issues" should look no further than the people who have had state legislature, city council and county commission seats for years and go unchallenged. James Harvey and Justin Ford just voted for a 1 cent tax cut for all Memphians while giving the county a 5 cent cut. Reginald Tate has sold the district out for years. It's shameful that these people get to pull the wool over the district eye's for years.
Herenton is campaigning. Go to Houston's, The Daq, The Westin and the Peabody rooftop on Thursday's.
He will get support of the older black voters but he is trying to get a push of the young black voters who are not being polled and probably first time Obama voters. Rodney has him out every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night...looking like the cool guy.
