I used to love Chocolate gravy. While growing up in Ky. my mom used to m ake it for us ocassionally.I haven't had it since my childhood, not sure if I would enjoy it today like I did back then.

Try screening in the blackberry. Something like wire with little holes. This way they can still get the sunlight.

By the way, we would also make our own syrup. Syrup and water boiled. Served with home made biscuits. We would mix in a spoon of peanut butter. It would melt in the hot syrup. We would sop it up with the biscuits. Ummmm.
