Look all Memphis has to do right now is just compete in C-USA and they can't even do that. Competing within this conference does not come down to world class facilities, BCS money, or top ranked recruits playing in front of 60,000 plus crowds on Saturday.
I think the majority of fans would be just as happy with good games playing our C-USA opponents, having a chance at the conference championship and a trip to the Liberty Bowl.
The real question and change of strategy should address why we can't even do that! Even during the DeAngelo years, we were never close to the cusa championship or Liberty Bowl. Other similar schools with less budget, similar facilities, similar recruits can compete for that, so why not us?!?
STILL not fixed. I was looking at a "living social" deal today in The Commercial Appeal and noticed that it was off Knightdale Bypass. I was very confused what that was since I've lived in Memphis now 40 years and never heard of "Summer" called that. So, I "googled" it and this is where I got to. Thanks for the info, Vance. I am also going to report it to Google Maps as a wrong street name and see what the response is.
Re: “Tigers 60, Southern Miss 58”
We are lucky to have escaped last night. That three at the end was spot on...almost. I think just about everyone in the building thought it was going in and the way the game had gone, it probably should have. Tigers have got to learn how to close out a game especially when they have a double digit lead. In any case, I'll take the win however we can get it.
