M. Awesomeberg, you really need to fire your dealer because you got a bad bag from him. The side effects of whatever you are smoking is causing to post incredibly ignorant things with no value and no foundation. It really does seem like your dog just ran away or something, you got angry at the world about it and then you remembered why Tony Bennett and Barbara Streisand are here to stay. In other words, WTF are you talking about and what the hell does it have to do with this article?!
Are you a musician? Did things not work out for you so now you want demean everyone else? Were you picked on as a kid? Did your child have a bad experience with "hip hop" and you want to punish the entire world? Give me a break!
Music is music and that's why they have different genres. If you don't like "hip-hop", you aren't compelled to listen to it. Credulous audience? Please! Everything that you have stated is not only credulous but totally inaccurate. Music sales have plummeted, that is a fact, but it has nothing to do with the type of music because music CONSUMPTION is up. Way up. That's a fact.
Just to let you know, there is this little thing called the internet which allows millions of people to go onto it, find the music they want, download it and not have to pay for it. One of the first sites to start this "music sharing" was called Napster and now it hasn't looked back. Look all of this up, it's easily found and check your sources the next time you want to rant about what's wrong with today's music.
Hip hop is here to stay. The "credulous" audiences aren't going anywhere either, so go ahead and dust off that instrument that you put away so long ago after you got your umpteenth rejection letter and give it another shot. That's way better than attacking a kid who you have never met, who's music you have never heard and who's genre you clearly know nothing about.
