One of the reasons I don't often read the Flyer and especially comment..is because there are a lot of really rude people who comment at the Flyer - like you - who prefer to make personal insults when they can't come up with a legit comment on whatever subject matter is being discussed.
Whatever. The left will always see events the way they want to see them - regardless of the facts.
The comment "A white man told you to chill, so you best chill." makes my point: Everything doesn't have to be seen through the prisim of racism. I am speakiing as human being, as a American.
It amazes me how all the people in this article have transposed their paranoia to President-Elect Trump. Yes, he said Muslim immigration should be stopped until we can vet them properly. He DID NOT SAY register every Muslim. Trump DID SAY he wanted to deport the "criminal" illegal aliens...and he has already stated that a pathway to citizenship for other illegals is the best way forward. I'm not sure what African Americans don't like about Trump's - except for that he isn't black. He has been very clear about wanting to focus on the inner city jobs, crime an education and he specifically courted - and won - more black votes than any other Repiblican in history. People need to calm down. Trump isn't a "normal" hard right Republican. In fact, many people within the party aren't sure he isn't an independant. He has had a lot of Democrats visiting in Trump Tower and has already appointed 2 Democrats. Chill folks....
I totally agree with the Peabody. As long as they spend money in the city it is great to have them. Why even suggest that Memphis discriminate against them?
Randy: "Hillary has a history of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time" is your quote, and who wants a President who puts her foot in her mouth so often as you attest? Oh, and BTW - the Bengazi and private email issues are not settled as insignificant. The reality is that the Democratic party has no one else to turn to, so you will continue to back her no matter what.
Bruce: Try going out with a late shift patrol car on Saturday night in one of Memphis's rougher neighborhoods and then write an article on your experience. I am SURE it will be an eye opener. Sometimes people on the far left - like New York liberals - who exist in a vacum of socio-economic segregation - make comments about situations they have no real, first hand experience with. Just saying.......
